Happenings

It's been a long week...really long.

We've been getting ready for some relatives, the Wests.
You see we have relatives from my Dads side who live in Arizona, and they all decided to come up for 4th of July. Which is a big deal since us kids have never really got to know them. So we are all excited. There are going to be around 60 people at our house for Independence day!!!! Right now my Dads aunt (Ginger and her husband-John) have been here for about a week, so we've been spending time with them. We had them over for dinner, then the next day they took us out to lunch, then we took them cherry picking :)

Tomorrow we meet another family, my Dads cousin, Tracy and her 6 (I think) kids. I've only meet them once as I can remember so it will be cool to see what they are all like.
They're going to be coming to our church, which will make it pretty crowded, which is a cool thing.

Monday the West family will be arriving. Jason (the dad) is my dad's cousin and was always his best friend growing up. We have heard sooooooo many stories about all their adventures and trouble makings. He has 3 kids-2 boys and a girl.

So basically we've been busy, and will be busy again this next week.
I just hope my toe will heal in time, so I can play with everyone...and it is :)

God Bless!!!!!

Jane Austin Characters

You (me-Kaila) are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of silliness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

I got this from the Emmons blog. I don't know if I'm completely like Elizabeth.
I'm not perfect in everything and am sometimes very silly :)
What do you think???
And who are you???

Waiting to get on
Getting all loaded up
She didn't really like all the wind

Every year after the Mannatech meeting we give people the option to join us on the Hellgate Jet boats-which are really fun. So Grandpa and Grandma always pay for us all-the Goldmans Kruses and my family-to go on. It's always so much fun. This year we did the Sunday Brunch ride.

Redoing Our Room

Lately me and Karissa have been redoing our room. We went from purple daisy's to a more...well I don't know... we're both just doing our own thing. I plan to do a brown and pink style and she's doing a Victorian style. We still aren't done, still got to spend more money :)
So...before and after pics will come some time next week.

Step 5- Start putting everything back and even pack stuff up.
Step 4- Apply the rest of the paint
Step 3- Paint all the trim stuff and doodle on the walls
Step 2- Turn on the Ipod :)
Step 1- Take everything down and cover it

The Tri-Unity of this Universe

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” Rom.1:20 Our tri-une God has created a tri-universe so that we may see His attributes and the Godhead in it. Take for example-

The universe which equals- space, time and matter. They, all together, make up one thing and without one or the other that one thing won’t exist. We can also see this in the very first verse in the Bible-Gen.1:1-“In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter).”

Now if you go into each of those three things you see-
  1. Space = length, depth, and width- 3 in 1.
  2. Time = past, present, and future -3 in 1.
  3. Matter = energy, motion, and velocity- 3 in 1.
This is only the big picture. Our God has created detail and everything serves it purpose to show the Creator, and every human is without excuse. Meaning, we already know there is a creator, but we suppress the truth (Rom.1:18), and we don’t want to submit to a higher authority. So we need to be shown our unrighteousness and the consequences of our worldview, not more facts for we know them already, they have been shown to us.

Our God is the Creator of everything, and He has created everything to serve to His purpose and to show His glory and to reveal Himself to us. –Amen!

This is a little something Dad taught us for school today-he’s the best teacher ever!!!

4. Discipline of Worship: Submissions Celebration

Worship encompasses all of life: "Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship"-Rom.12:1.
Because Christ is the ultimate revelation of God (Col.1:15-20), He must be the central focus of our worship as understood through Scripture (1Tim.4:13). Worship-whether by oneself at home, in the workplace, classroom, or with the church gathered-is consecration. Every woman (and man) who calls herself a Christian must understand that worship is the ultimate priority of her life...every day.

3. Discipline of Prayer: Submissions Lifeline

Pray “at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication” (Eph.6:18). Prayer is the source of power for growth and perseverance in our spiritual lives. It bends our wills to God’s, which is what submitting our lives is all about.

Prayer cannot be reduced to a few simple rules, and though we sometimes talk about meditation, confession, adoration, submission, and petition, there is no prescribed order. But continual prayer is God’s will for us…we must always be “looking up”, even when we are driven to work or cleaning the house. -Barbara Hughes

I'm Home

It's weird how I can feel so sad and happy at once-sad that the trip is over and happy to be home.
I have been so blessed to be able to go to this conference, and have had a lot of fun with my Dad and cousin David.
When you put two funny guys together, you know your in for one great time. And so I was-Dad and David were constantly making me laugh, and Dad was always making me and David laugh with whatever he said.
One of the funniest things was this-
Dad stays up late and works on his computer, so when me and David went to bed he would still be up. I sleep talk (really...all the time) so the first night dad just said what that I was talking and David couldn't stop laughing, but the next night dad wrote down what I said and that got a real kick out of David and Dad while I just sat there and tried not to laugh. But David just wouldn't stop, he kept going and going and going.
Now here is the good part- David sleeps talked one night too!! And dad wrote it down and I couldn't stop laughing while David just sat there.
So you can see that we had a great time.

After we went to the Biltmore House we drove to the Smokey Mountains and took a train ride through them, the next day. That was very exciting because I had never been on a train. It was so beautiful (the scenery). It was like a jungle, you could see Tarzan swinging on the vines, and one would expect King Kong to jump out of the trees any minute.
I love to take pics of scenery and took 200 of just trees and stuff-dad said it was 200 pics of green stuff (but he really liked them).
Here are some-

It really has been a wonderful week. Being able to see more of God's unique wonderful creation. When one sees the beauty of this world, one cannot deny the existence of a sovereign, orderly, omnipotent God- as is said in Rom.1:19- "Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools..."
There's some stuff in their that I've learned from the conference and I'll write all about that later.
See ya!

Today's Excursions

David and his version of wine tasting-grape juice :)

Today we packed up and left. We went to this house which is the biggest privately owned house, and it really is huge. It's amazing how much detail was put into houses back then. There were carvings everywhere, rooms for every purpose, richly furnished, and beautiful grounds. It was like a whole park-this one family owned it all, 8000 acres and all. It's called the Biltmore house. It was really breathtaking. The drive was beautiful- there is a large variety of foliage and it was absolutely wonderful. It also had a winery so dad did some wine tasitng.
Right now we're in the hotel room and dad and David are watching some science thing that David got from the book store, while I listen to Switchfoot and blog-what a great way to end a great day!!
